Sporting-Al-Riyadi-Beirut (LBL) tabbed 28-year old Lebanese international 194cm guard Wael Arakji. It is actually his comeback to Beirut as he has played here before. Arakji was about to sign at Jahraa in Kuwaiti D1 league.

The most of last season he spent at Jahraa (also in D1) where in 15 games he averaged impressive 18.3ppg, 3.5rpg and 4.1apg. He also spent pre-season at Al Shamal (also in D1) in Qatari.

Arakji has been also a member of Lebanese international program for some years. He has regularly played for Lebanese senior team since 2015 and previously for U18 National Team in 2012.

Arakji represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jakarta (Indonesia) this year. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 5 games: Score-1 (26.0ppg), 3.2rpg, 4.0apg, 1.8spg, FGP: 53.8%, 3PT: 45.8%, FT: 84.4%.

He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Arakji is familiar with Asian, African and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in China (Royal Fighters), Tunisia (US Monastir), Lebanon (Al Riyadi and Beirut Club) and NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks). Arakji won Lebanese League championship title in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019 and the cup in 2013, 2015 and 2019. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com Lebanese League All-Domestic Players Team back in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
