Milko Bjelica

Al Ittihad Jeddah (SBL) agreed to terms with experienced 38-year-old Montenegrin-Serbian international forward Milko Bjelica (207cm-112kg-1984, agency: BIG) for the new 2022-23 season. Bjelica played last season at Al Shamal in the Qatari QBL league. In 16 games he had very impressive stats: 23.8ppg, 10.6rpg, and 2.3apg. 2021-22 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 2nd Team.

In the previous (2020-21) season he played at Mornar in the Montenegro league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 11 Eurocup games, he recorded just 2.6ppg and 1.2rpg in that year. He also played 20 games in ABA League where he averaged 5.2ppg and 2.5rpg in that year. Bjelica also played 3 games in Montenegrin Erste Liga where he got 12.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.0apg, and 1.3spg in that year.

He represented Montenegro at the Qualifications to European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) 2015 eight years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 5.0ppg, 5.0rpg.

Bjelica is quite an experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany (Braunschweig and Koeln 99ers), Japan (Alvark Tokyo), Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Baskonia and Zaragoza), Turkey (Efes and Dacka), and Serbia (Crvena Zvezda).
