   #1. Experienced champion Donald Sims, a 6'3'' shooting guard who is 39 years old and graduated from App State in 2011 with an All-Southern Conf. First Team award, is currently playing professionally in Uruguay. In a thrilling match on Thursday night, Sims led his team, Aguada, to a narrow 92-91 victory over the second-ranked Nacional in a highly-anticipated derby game in the Uruguayan Liga Uruguaya de Basquetbol. Sims' stellar performance not only secured the win but also earned him the title of MVP of the game, showcasing his undeniable talent on the court. During the game, Sims put up an astonishing 43 points, along with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals in 42 minutes of play. This standout performance was crucial as it marked his team's first victory after enduring three consecutive losses. Despite it being his first season with Atletico Aguada Montevideo, Sims has already proven himself as a key player with his remarkable scoring ability and all-around contribution to the team. Sims' exceptional display of skill against Nacional in the highly competitive matchup between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6 solidified his reputation as a champion player. His remarkable statistics this season, averaging 19.2 points per game (ranking him third best in the league), 2.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals in the 25 games he has played so far, further highlight his significant impact on the team. Sims' consistent performance and impressive stats have rightfully earned him the recognition as a finalist in the league.
