#1. Demarcus Demonia, a 6'7'' guard/forward who is 26 years old and graduated from ETAMU in 2023, currently plays professionally in Germany. Despite his efforts in the recent game, where he scored 12 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and dished out 2 assists in 29 minutes, his team, Bamberg Baskets, fell short against the second-ranked ALBA Berlin with a final score of 71-85. This loss marked a challenging outcome for Bamberg, with a 24-10 record. It's worth noting that this is Demonia's first season with the team. Demonia's performance against ALBA was notable, showcasing his skills on the court. Throughout the season, he has maintained solid statistics, averaging 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game over 39 games played thus far. His basketball journey includes participation in the prestigious Eurobasket Summer League, recognized as a top international summer league in the market.
#2. Experienced player Devondrick Walker, a 6'5'' guard/forward aged 33 and a former Lions alumnus from 2014, has been showcasing his skills playing professionally in Australia. Recently, he played a crucial role in helping the Geraldton Buccaneers secure a significant victory against the 13th-ranked Giants with a score of 47-32 in the Australian NBL One, which is the second division league. Despite only scoring 2 points in 17 minutes of play, Walker's presence on the court was impactful. The Geraldton Buccaneers, currently holding the second position in the West group with a record of 9-2, marked their sixth consecutive win under Walker's contribution. In the game against Goldfields G, Walker's performance was notable as he scored 2 points, grabbed 1 rebound, and provided 2 assists to help his team clinch the victory. His valuable contributions were pivotal in guiding his team to triumph as the champion of the match. Throughout the season, Walker has been delivering impressive individual performances, boasting averages of 21.6 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, 2.4 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game in the eight games he has played so far. Walker's consistent performance and leadership qualities have been instrumental in propelling his team towards success in the league.
