Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Vikings players who continue their career in pro basketball.
Especially interesting is good performance of Dericko Williams (15 points), Shykeef Daniels (2 points), and Miykael Faulcon (3 points).
#1. Dericko Williams, a 6'7'' guard/forward aged 26, is a recent graduate of ECSU, where he received the prestigious All-CIAA Defensive Player of the Year award in 2025. Currently playing professionally in Kosovo, Williams recently showcased his talent for Sigal Prishtina. In a challenging match against the formidable #3 ranked team, Bora, Williams displayed exceptional skills, emerging as the top scorer for his team with 15 points and contributing 5 rebounds and 2 assists in just 28 minutes of play. Despite his remarkable performance, Sigal Prishtina suffered a crushing defeat of 105-67 in the derby game. Williams' impressive statistics this season reflect his growing impact in the professional basketball scene. With an average of 7.2 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game across nine matches played, Williams is demonstrating his potential to become a champion player in the future. His dedication and hard work in his first season of professional basketball are evident, and his contributions to Sigal Prishtina are setting a solid foundation for his promising career as a finalist in the making.
#2. Shykeef Daniels, a 6'4'' forward and 28-year-old Vikings alumnus from 2022 who currently plays professionally in the TBL, recently faced the DMV Soldiers with his team, the Raleigh Firebirds. Despite his efforts, Daniels, the standout player, could not lead the Firebirds to victory over the Soldiers. In a closely contested match, the Firebirds were narrowly defeated 104-103 on the road. During the game, Daniels showcased his skills by contributing 2 points, securing 9 rebounds, distributing 3 assists, and blocking 3 shots in 26 minutes of play. Although he put in a commendable performance individually, he, along with his team, fell short of clinching the win. This particular game may not be remembered as one of Daniels' best showings, given the outcome. Throughout the current season, Daniels has maintained solid averages of 4.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game across the nine games he has participated in so far. Despite the setback against the DMV Soldiers, Daniels continues to be a key player for the Raleigh Firebirds as they strive for success in the league.
#3. Experienced champion Miykael Faulcon, a 6'4'' guard at 33 years old, graduated from ECSU in 2016 and received the All-CIAA First Team award that year. He currently plays professionally in the East Coast Basketball League (ECBL). In a recent game, Faulcon and the North Carolina Coyotes (2-5) faced off against the Bailing Brothers (4-2) but were unable to secure the win. Despite Faulcon's efforts, the Coyotes fell short, losing 114-127 to the Bailing Brothers. This defeat marked the fourth consecutive loss for the North Carolina Coyotes. During the game, Faulcon put on an impressive performance, contributing 3 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. However, he expressed disappointment in his individual performance and did not consider Sunday's game as one of his best showings. Despite this, Faulcon has been maintaining relatively good stats this season, averaging 13.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the seven games he has played so far. As a champion player, Faulcon continues to showcase his skills and contribute to his team's efforts on the court.
#4. In a recent game between Fayetteville Liberty and DC Heat in The Basketball League, Shyheid Petteway, a 31-year-old guard standing at 6'2" and an alumnus of the Vikings from 2019, showcased his talent on the court. Despite Fayetteville Liberty's 4-5 record this season, Petteway's contribution was pivotal in their victory against the formidable DC Heat with a score of 103-88. In this highly anticipated matchup between the top two teams in the South Atlantic group, Petteway's performance was standout, scoring 5 points and securing 3 rebounds in 23 minutes of play. Petteway's valuable contributions not only demonstrated his skills but also played a significant role in leading Fayetteville Liberty to emerge as the champion in this thrilling contest. His consistent performance throughout the season is evident in his average of 8.7 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game in the three games played so far. As a key player for Fayetteville Liberty, Petteway continues to make an impact on the court, helping his team strive for success in the league.
