#1. Josh Nicholas (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2018-19, plays pro in Qatar) could not help the league outsider Qatar Club (0-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Qatar Club was crushed114-83 in a derby game by the higher-ranked (#6) Al Ahli Sports Club Doha. Nicholas was the top scorer with 34 points. He also added 7 assists in 39 minutes. So far Qatar Club lost all five games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Nicholas has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.8ppg, 4.6rpg and 4.6apg in five games he played so far. Nicholas is a naturalized Jamaican.
#2. Tomas Woldetensae (6'5''-F/G-1998, played in 2017-19, plays in Italy) was not able to help Reggio Emilia (2-3) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Woldetensae's very good performance Reggio Emilia was edged77-76 on the road by the lower-ranked Bashkimi (#4). He was the top scorer with 21 points. Woldetensae's team will play only one more game in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Woldetensae averages 7.4ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.2spg.
#3. Experienced Nestor Colmenares (6'7''-C-1987, played in 2005-07, currently in Uruguay) was the major contributor in Defensor's victory against the tenth-ranked Cordon (2-6) 97-84 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB on Tuesday night. He scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes. Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo (5-3) is placed fourth in the LUB. Colmenares' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Colmenares has relatively good stats this year 11.1ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg in eight games.
#4. Ahren Freeman (6'7''-F-2001, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Finland) led Pyrinto to a victory over the seventh-ranked Bisons (5-5) crushing them 101-77 in the Finnish Korisliiga in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Freeman scored 24 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Pyrinto Tampere (6-1) is placed second in the Korisliiga. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Freeman has very high stats. He averages 16.7ppg, 5.4rpg and 3.0apg.
#5. Emmitt Holt (6'7''-F-1996, played in 2015-16, plays in Uruguay) was not able to secure a victory for Urunday (9-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance Urunday lost 70-76 in a derby game to the lower-ranked (#3) Malvin. Holt scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is extremely important. Holt has relatively good stats this year 11.5ppg and 5.4rpg in eight games.
#6. Chris Payton (6'8''-F-2000, played in 2020-21, currently in Turkey) couldn't help Ormanspor in their game against Fenerbahce in the Turkish TBL (second division). Despite his good performance last Sunday Payton scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Payton has relatively good stats this season 12.0ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.3apg.
#7. Dontay Caruthers (6'1''-G-1995, played in 2015-16, plays pro in Poland) managed to help Dziki Warszawa in a 3-point victory against the 13th-ranked MKS 96-93 in the Polish OBL in Sunday night's game. Caruthers scored only 2 points and added 11 passes in 26 minutes. This year Caruthers averages 9.1ppg, 3.0rpg and 6.7apg in seven games.
#8. Lester Medford Jr. (6'1''-PG-1993, played in 2013-14, plays in Slovakia) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Keila Coolbet 95-79 in the European North Basketball League last Tuesday. Medford Jr. scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Medford Jr. has relatively good stats this season 14.5ppg, 4.3rpg, 7.5apg and 1.7spg.
#9. JD Muila (6'8''-F-1999, played in 2018-20, currently in Lithuania) couldn't help Nevezis in their game against Zalgiris in the Lithuanian LKL. Muila scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 29 minutes. His team was crushed by 26 points 94-68. This year Muila averages 8.5ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg in eight games. He has also DR Congolese nationality.
#10. Malique Jacobs (6'3''-G-2000, played in 2019-20, plays pro in Portugal) couldn't help the league outsider Vitoria SC in their game against FC Porto in the Portuguese Liga Betclic. Despite his very good performance on Saturday night Jacobs recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 4 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals. Jacobs has relatively good stats this season 13.4ppg, 5.4rpg, 4.6apg and 2.4spg.
