We bring you last week's top former Railsplitters players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Notice impressive performance of Shaquille Rombley (8 points), Devin Whitfield (7 points), and Martez Brown (0 points).

#1. Dutch Shaquille Rombley, a 29-year-old center standing at 6'8'' who graduated from LMU in 2021, showcased his skills while playing for the Bakken Bears in Denmark. Despite his contributions, Rombley and his team fell short against Naestved in the Danish BasketLigaen. In that game, Rombley put up 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 blocks in just 21 minutes on the court. The Bakken Bears, who were the top team with a record of 26-6, suffered a close 93-92 defeat at the hands of Naestved, who held the second spot with a record of 25-7, in the Places 1-6 group. Although Rombley delivered a solid performance with 8 points and 4 rebounds, his team couldn't secure the victory. Throughout the season, Rombley has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 10.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game, which ranks him as the second-best shot blocker in the league. So far, in the 17 games he has played, Rombley has consistently demonstrated his skills on the court.

#2. Devin Whitfield, a 27-year-old guard standing at 6'5'' and an alumnus of Railsplitters from the class of 2021, played a pivotal role in helping them secure the SAC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Holland, he recently made his debut for Zwolle and made a significant impact in their match against Den Helder, which ended in a thrilling 80-72 victory in the Dutch Basketball League last Friday. Despite it being his first game of the season for Zwolle, Whitfield showcased his skills by notching up 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in 34 minutes of play. The game between Zwolle and Den Helder was highly anticipated as it featured two of the top 4 ranked teams in the league. Whitfield's team, Zwolle, is currently positioned well in the league standings. His exceptional performance in the match against Den Helder, where he displayed his scoring, rebounding, and playmaking abilities, undoubtedly played a crucial role in securing the victory for his team. His stellar display on the court rightfully earned him the title of the champion of the game.

#3. Martez Brown, a 6'9'' forward who graduated from LMU in 2024, played a key role in helping them become SAC Regular Season Co-Champion that year. Currently playing professionally in Australia, Brown recently suited up for the struggling Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai Spiders, who are ranked 15th in the league with a 1-8 record. In their latest game against the top-ranked Norths Bears, the HKBA Spiders fell short on the road, losing 96-102 despite Brown's stellar performance. Brown showcased his versatility on the court, delivering a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds while also contributing 4 assists in 35 minutes of play. His standout display against the Norths Bears earned him the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, highlighting his prowess as a champion player. Brown's consistent performance this season includes averaging 13.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game across six appearances, further solidifying his reputation as a finalist.

#4. Chris Perry, a 6'8'' forward and 31-year-old alumnus of Railsplitters from 2017, has been making a significant impact in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico as a professional player for Astros de Jalisco. Perry, who helped Railsplitters win the SAC Regular Season Co-Champion title in 2017, showcased his prowess on the court by leading his team to a resounding 110-76 victory against the fifth-ranked Angeles (20-20) last Friday. In the game, Perry demonstrated his skills by scoring 12 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and adding 2 assists in just 20 minutes of play. This stellar performance contributed to Astros de Jalisco's dominant position in the league, as they currently hold the top spot with an impressive record of 36-2. The victory against Angeles marked Perry's team's 12th consecutive win, highlighting their strong form heading into the final stretch of the Regular Season. With only three games remaining before the end of the Regular Season, every match becomes crucial for Perry and his team as they aim to maintain their momentum and secure a strong position for the playoffs. Perry's consistent performance throughout the season, averaging 13.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in the 35 games played so far, underscores his value as a key player and a true champion on the court.

#5. Rhondi Hackett, a 6'7'' small forward aged 29, graduated from LMU in 2020 and was instrumental in helping them secure the SAC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Belize, Hackett recently played a key role in the Belmopan Trojans' victory over the closely-ranked Tiger Sharks with a score of 109-102 in the Belize Elite Basketball League. In the game, Hackett showcased his skills by scoring 9 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, distributing 3 assists, and blocking 2 shots within just 18 minutes of play. Despite his team, the Belmopan Trojans, being positioned second from the bottom in the league standings at #6 with a record of 2-9, this win marked their first victory after enduring nine consecutive losses. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, every upcoming match is crucial for the team. Hackett's impressive performance against the Tiger Sharks highlighted his capabilities on the court and reaffirmed his status as a champion. Throughout the season, Hackett has maintained strong statistics, averaging 14.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game, ranking him as the second-best shot blocker in the league after eight games played.
