Experienced Italian champion Amedeo Della Valle, a 6'4'' shooting guard aged 33, who graduated from Ohio St. in 2014 and currently plays professionally in Italy, showcased his skills by leading Brescia to a convincing 90-75 victory over the eighth-ranked Trieste in the Italian Serie A on Monday night. In an impressive display, he scored 11 points, secured 4 rebounds, and provided 5 assists, with a perfect 5-for-5 free throw performance, all within 34 minutes of play. Brescia Leonessa, with a record of 21-7, holds the second position in the league standings, with Della Valle now in his fourth season with the team. His exceptional performance against Trieste not only contributed significantly to the win but also demonstrated his prowess as a finalist. #2. Andre Wesson, a 6'6'' forward and Buckeyes alumni from 2020, showcased his skills as a professional player in Slovakia. Wesson's stellar performance saw him scoring 18 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in just 30 minutes of play. Patrioti Levice, where Wesson is currently playing in his first season, holds the top spot in the league with a record of 30-6. His standout performance against Slovan further solidified his position as a key player for the team, helping them secure the victory and advance as the finalists in the league.
#3. Justice Sueing, a 6'6'' forward who graduated from Ohio State in 2023 and received the All-Big Ten Honorable Mention award, is currently playing professionally in Portugal. He recently showcased his skills as a key player for Benfica in their dominant 98-76 victory over Oliveirense, the fifth-ranked team in the Portuguese Liga Betclic Masculina. Currently, he is playing professionally in the Czech Republic. In a recent game, Key made a significant impact for Pardubice as they secured a 98-87 victory over the third-ranked Brno in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL. Despite only playing for 13 minutes, Key managed to contribute 8 points and 3 rebounds against Brno. His performance played a crucial role in helping his team emerge as the champion in that match. Kaleb Wesson, a 26-year-old center/forward who graduated from Ohio State University in 2020 and received the USBWA All-District V Team award that same year, currently plays professionally in Indonesia. #10. C.J. Jackson, a 6'1'' point guard and 30-year-old Buckeyes alumni from 2019, currently playing professionally in Vietnam, was unable to lead the Nhatrang Dolphins (0-2) to victory in their recent game last Thursday. Despite Jackson's stellar performance, the last-place Dolphins were decisively defeated 116-92 on the road by the top-ranked Buffaloes. In the game, Jackson stood out as the top scorer, contributing 20 points to the team's effort. He also showcased his versatility by grabbing 9 rebounds during his 30 minutes on the court. Although Jackson displayed an impressive performance against the Buffaloes, scoring 20 points, securing 9 rebounds, and providing 1 assist, his team ultimately fell short. Throughout the season, Jackson has maintained strong individual statistics, averaging 16.0 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, and 2.5 assists per game. His consistent performance highlights his contribution to the team despite the challenges faced by the Nhatrang Dolphins.
