Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Panthers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Jeremiah Gambrell Jr., a 6'3'' point guard aged 26, who graduated from Alcorn St. in 2024 but played for PVAMU between 2020 and 2023 before joining the professional league in Lebanon, showcased his skills by leading Antranik to a decisive 104-94 victory over the ninth-ranked NSA. Gambrell Jr. was the MVP of the game, delivering a stellar performance with a double-double, scoring 37 points, securing 11 rebounds, and contributing 6 assists in just 33 minutes of play. This remarkable display of talent is particularly impressive since it is only Gambrell Jr.'s second season in professional basketball. Antranik Beirut, currently placed fifth in the league with a record of 12-9, celebrated their fourth consecutive win, with Gambrell Jr. playing a pivotal role in their success. Gambrell Jr.'s outstanding performance against NSA earned him the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, cementing his reputation as a true champion. With an impressive season individually, he has maintained high averages of 24.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per game in the 20 games he has participated in thus far. As Antranik Beirut gears up for their final game of the Regular Season, Gambrell Jr.'s exceptional skills and leadership will be crucial as they aim to finish strong and position themselves for success in the playoffs.
