#1. Marquis Wright, a 6'1'' point guard who graduated from Siena in 2017 and received the All-MAAC Second Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Turkey. In his first season with Ormanspor, he has been showcasing exceptional skills and talent on the court. Despite his team's recent loss to Goztepe, where they were narrowly defeated 121-119 on the road, Wright delivered a stellar performance, recording a triple-double with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists in 51 minutes of play. Wright's outstanding display against Goztepe earned him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, highlighting his prowess as a champion player. Throughout the season, he has maintained impressive individual statistics, averaging 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game in the 35 games he has played so far. Wright's consistent high-level performance solidifies his reputation as a standout finalist in the league.
#2. Experienced champion Ryan Rossiter, a 6'9'' forward who is 36 years old and an alumnus of Saints from 2011, currently plays professionally in Japan. In a recent game, Rossiter, despite his commendable performance, was unable to lead Alvark Tokyo (41-19) to victory. The fourth-placed Alvark Tokyo suffered a close 97-96 defeat on the road against the lower-ranked (#5) Sapporo in the East group. Rossiter showcased his skills by achieving a double-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists in just 28 minutes of play. This game marked Alvark Tokyo's first loss following a streak of six consecutive wins, emphasizing the importance of every remaining game as the Regular Season nears its end. This season marks Rossiter's fifth year with the team, where he continues to excel on the court. Despite the team's loss, Rossiter's exceptional performance against Hokkaido L. earned him recognition, including the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, solidifying his reputation as a true champion in the sport. With an average of 7.9 points, 11.0 rebounds (the second-best in the league), and 5.6 assists (the fourth-best in the league) in 43 games this year, Rossiter continues to make significant contributions to his team. It is notable that Rossiter holds both American and Japanese citizenship, allowing him to play in Japan as a domestic player, further enhancing his value to Alvark Tokyo.
#3. Javion Ogunyemi, a 30-year-old forward/center standing at 6'9'' who graduated from Siena in 2017 and received the MAAC All-Tournament First Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Georgia. In a recent game, he played a significant role in Kutaisi's victory over the sixth-ranked Telavi with a score of 92-78 in the Georgian Superleague. Ogunyemi managed to score 8 points, secure 12 rebounds, and provide 1 assist in 31 minutes of gameplay. Kutaisi 2010, with a record of 14-6, is currently leading the league standings. #4. Kenny Hasbrouck, a 6'3'' guard and 39-year-old Saints alumnus from 2009, currently playing professionally in Kosovo, showcased his talent in a recent game. Hasbrouck, the MAAC All-Tournament MVP in 2009, led his team, KB Trepca Mitrovice, to a thrilling victory against the fifth-ranked Peja with a score of 103-96 in the Kosovan Art Motion Superliga. In this game, Hasbrouck demonstrated his prowess on the court by scoring 18 points in just 27 minutes of play. KB Trepca Mitrovice, with a record of 25-3, holds the top spot in the league standings, with this win marking their 20th consecutive victory. Despite it being Hasbrouck's first season with the team, he has been an integral part of their success. His impressive performance in the game against Peja, where he not only scored 18 points but also contributed 1 rebound and 1 assist, highlights his skills as a champion player. Throughout the season, Hasbrouck has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game over 22 appearances. His consistent contributions on the court have undoubtedly played a significant role in his team's accomplishments, solidifying his position as a standout player in the league.
#5. Manny Camper, a 26-year-old guard/forward standing at 6'7'' who graduated from Siena in 2021 and earned the prestigious All-MAAC Player of the Year award, is currently showcasing his talent playing professionally in Puerto Rico. Despite his best efforts, Camper, representing the Santeros de Aguada with an 8-6 record, was unable to lead his team to victory over the Gigantes, who held a 7-7 record in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. During the game against the Gigantes, Camper managed to contribute 8 points in just 17 minutes of play. Unfortunately, the third-placed Santeros de Aguada suffered a significant defeat, losing 98-69 to the Gigantes in Carolina, a team ranked lower at #3 in Group A. Camper displayed an impressive performance in the game against Carolina, scoring 8 points, securing 2 rebounds, and distributing 2 assists. However, despite his individual contributions, his team fell short, resulting in a loss. Throughout the current season, Camper has maintained solid averages of 9.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game over the course of 12 games played.
#6. Anthony Gaines, a 27-year-old guard standing at 6'4'' and an alumnus of the Saints class of 2022, has been making a name for himself playing professionally in Germany. Recently, he showcased his skills by contributing to HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim's impressive 96-87 victory over the closely-ranked BG Goettingen in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA. Despite only playing for 4 minutes, Gaines managed to score 3 crucial points and secure 1 rebound during the game. His performance was instrumental in helping HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim emerge as the champion in this intense matchup. Throughout the season, Gaines has maintained solid statistics, averaging 13.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game across 33 appearances. His dedication and contributions on the court have undoubtedly played a significant role in his team's success, showcasing his potential as a true finalist.
