#1. German player Peter Hemschemeier, a 6'5'' guard who is 22 years old and graduated from SE Louisiana in 2026, currently plays professionally in Germany. Recently, he was unable to lead Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (23-11) to victory against Phoenix Hagen (28-6) in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA. Despite his efforts during the game on Saturday, where he scored 3 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in 22 minutes, Hemschemeier and his team suffered a tough 85-65 loss on the road to the dominant Phoenix Hagen team. This game may not be remembered as one of his best performances, as his scoring output was limited. It is worth noting that this is Hemschemeier's first season with Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. Throughout the season, he has been averaging 3.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
#2. British champion Jonathan Komagum, a 27-year-old forward/center standing at 6'9'' and a Lions alumnus from 2023, has been making waves in the Ugandan National Basketball League. Recently, he led his team, City Oilers, to a resounding victory over the ninth-ranked JKL Dolphins with a commanding 85-33 win in a thrilling derby game on Sunday night. Komagum showcased his exceptional skills by achieving a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing an impressive 13 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play. City Oilers Kampala, currently holding the top spot in the league with a record of 19-2, secured their third consecutive win, further solidifying their position as a top contender. With only two games remaining in the Regular Season, every match is crucial for the teams vying for the championship. Komagum's stellar performance against the JKL Dolphins not only contributed to his team's victory but also earned him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, highlighting his prowess as a champion player. Throughout the season, Komagum has maintained impressive averages of 5.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game, showcasing his versatility and impact on the court. It is noteworthy that he holds both American and British citizenship, allowing him the flexibility to play as a domestic player in the United Kingdom, further expanding his opportunities in the world of basketball.
#3. Keon Clergeot, a 6'1'' guard who graduated from SE Louisiana in 2022 and currently plays professionally in Lebanon, recently showcased his skills in a thrilling match. He led his team, Batroun, to a decisive 82-74 victory over the closely-ranked Homentmen in the Lebanese Decathlon Lebanese Basketball League. Clergeot's stellar performance earned him the title of MVP of the game, as he impressively recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, and 5 steals in 40 minutes of play. Despite Batroun being placed ninth in the league with a 7-15 record, Clergeot's exceptional contributions on the court have not gone unnoticed. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, Clergeot's upcoming performance will be crucial for his team. His remarkable display against Homentmen highlights his outstanding season statistics, averaging 19.0 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 6.0 assists per game, and 2.3 steals per game. Clergeot's consistent and high-level performance throughout the season solidifies his position as a true champion in the league.
