#1. Romar Reid, a 25-year-old guard standing at 6'2'' and a graduate of St. Michael's in 2024, has been making a significant impact in the world of professional basketball in Spain. Recently, he played a crucial role in leading Algeciras to a thrilling 2-point victory over the league leader Badajoz Vitaly with a score of 88-86 in the Spanish Tercera FEB, the fourth division of Spanish basketball. This impressive performance earned him the title of MVP of the game. Despite it only being his second season in professional basketball, Reid showcased his skills by scoring 20 points in just 29 minutes of play. This standout performance was pivotal in the highly anticipated match between the top-ranked teams in Group D-A, with Damex UDEA Algeciras holding the first position with a record of 23-2. The victory marked the 14th consecutive win for Reid's team, further solidifying their position as strong contenders in the league. With only one more game left in the Play-In, the upcoming match holds great importance for the team's playoff aspirations. Having joined the team just this year, Reid has quickly made his presence felt on the court, particularly in the recent game against Badajoz where he not only scored 20 points but also secured 3 rebounds, leading his team to victory and ultimately to claim the champion title. Individually, Reid has been having an outstanding season with impressive statistics, averaging 16.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the 26 games he has played so far. His remarkable performance on the court highlights his talent and potential as a champion player in the making. It is worth noting that Reid is a naturalized American, bringing a diverse and dynamic skill set to the Spanish basketball scene.
