Nigerian Uchenna Iroegbu, a 6'0'' point guard at 29 years old, who graduated from Stony Brook in 2018 and currently plays professionally in Morocco, made a significant impact in FUS Rabat's narrow 1-point victory over the league-leading Tigers (4-1) with a final score of 99-98 in the Basketball Africa League on Sunday night. Iroegbu's notable performance included scoring 9 points and providing 4 assists in just 23 minutes of play. This game, a clash between two top 4 ranked teams, was a highlight of the round. Fath US de Rabat (3-2) currently holds the fourth position in the league standings. His impressive display, contributing 9 points and 4 assists against the Tigers, was pivotal in securing the championship for his team in this closely contested match. Throughout the season, Iroegbu has maintained solid statistics, averaging 11.5 points per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game. It is worth noting that he previously participated in the Eurobasket Summer League, renowned as a top summer league for players aspiring to pursue basketball opportunities overseas.
