Here is the weekly review of the top performing Longhorns alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Especially interesting is good performance of Greg Brown III (14 points), Dylan Osetkowski (17 points), and Marcus Carr (20 points).



   #1. Greg Brown III, a 24-year-old forward standing at 6'7'' who graduated from the University of Texas in 2021 after helping them win the Big 12 Tournament that year, is currently playing professionally in Greece. In a recent game, he led AEK to a narrow 102-99 victory over the closely-ranked Aris with a stellar performance. Brown III contributed 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks in just 24 minutes of play. AEK BC Athens, where Brown III is playing his first season, holds the fourth position in the Greek Stoiximan Basketball League with a record of 16-8. His remarkable performance against Aris showcased his skills and determination, playing a crucial role in securing the victory for his team as they aim to become the champion. Throughout the season, Brown III has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game. His consistent contributions on both ends of the court have been instrumental in AEK's success as they strive to compete against tough opponents and reach the final stage.

   #2. Dylan Osetkowski, a 6'9'' center and 29-year-old Longhorns alumni from 2019, who helped them secure the NIT championship that year, currently plays professionally in Serbia. Recently, he made a significant impact in Partizan's victory over the closely-ranked Crvena zvezda with a score of 89-78 in a highly anticipated derby game in the AdmiralBet ABA League. In this thrilling match between two top 4 ranked teams, Osetkowski showcased his skills by scoring 17 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and playing 26 minutes of intense basketball. His stellar performance was instrumental in leading KK Partizan Mozzart Bet Beograd to a crucial win, solidifying their position as one of the top teams in the league. Osetkowski's exceptional contributions against Crvena zvezda did not go unnoticed, as he not only displayed his scoring ability and rebounding prowess but also showcased his playmaking skills with 2 assists. His all-around performance was key in propelling his team to victory and ultimately earning them the title of champion in this highly competitive matchup. Throughout this season, Osetkowski has maintained solid averages of 8.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, further highlighting his versatility on the court. As a naturalized American player, Osetkowski continues to make a name for himself in the professional basketball scene with his consistent and impactful performances.

   #3. Canadian Marcus Carr, a 6'2'' guard aged 26, graduated from Texas in 2023 after contributing to their Big 12 Tournament victory that year. He currently plays professionally in Germany for FIT/One Wuerzburg Baskets. In their recent match last Monday, Wuerzburg suffered an 88-81 defeat on the road against the higher-ranked Telekom Baskets (#4), despite Carr's standout performance. Carr emerged as the top scorer with 20 points during his 32 minutes on the court. In another game against Bonn, Carr showcased his skills by scoring 20 points, securing 2 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. Regrettably, his exceptional effort was not enough to secure a victory for his team. Throughout the season, Carr has maintained impressive individual statistics, averaging 16.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.

   #4. Experienced Canadian player Cory Joseph, a 6'3'' guard who is 34 years old and an alumnus of the Longhorns from 2011, currently plays professionally in Greece. In a recent Euroleague match on Sunday night, Joseph, a former All-Big 12 Honorable Mention awardee, played a pivotal role in Olympiacos S.F.P. Piraeus' victory over Real Madrid, with a final score of 92-85. His contributions included 5 points and 5 assists in just 17 minutes of play. The game was a highly anticipated matchup between two top 4 ranked teams, with Olympiacos S.F.P. Piraeus (26-12) currently leading the league standings. Joseph's team secured their fourth consecutive win, with his standout performance against Real Madrid showcasing his skills and determination on the court. Jarrett Allen, a 6'10'' center who graduated from Texas in 2017 and received the USBWA All-District VII Team award that year, currently plays professionally in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In their recent game against the New York Knicks in New York City, Allen unfortunately could not lead his team to victory, as the Cavaliers were defeated 121-108. Despite his stellar performance, scoring 17 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in 36 minutes of play, the Cleveland Cavaliers fell short in securing the win. This season marks Allen's fifth year with the team, and he has been showcasing impressive skills on the court. With an average of 14.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, Allen has been a standout player for the Cleveland Cavaliers.    #7. Sir Jabari Rice, a 27-year-old guard standing at 6'4'' and a graduate of Texas in 2023, is currently playing professionally in Spain. Recently, he showcased his skills leading MoraBanc Andorra to a decisive victory over the closely-ranked Lleida, with a final score of 116-88 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. Despite his impressive individual performance, he was unable to help HEFTE HELFEN Bulls Kapfenberg (21-9) secure a victory in their recent game against the Gunners. The Kapfenberg team, which is currently in first place, was narrowly defeated 79-76 by the second-ranked Gunners in the Places 1-6 group. During the game against the Gunners, Jones showcased his skills by scoring 19 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and providing 2 assists in 34 minutes of play. Despite his outstanding contributions, his team ultimately fell short and lost the game. Throughout the season, Jones has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 19.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.    #10. Jase Febres, a 6'5'' guard and 26-year-old Longhorns alumnus from 2022, is currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico. While competing for Santeros de Aguada against Mets, the champion, he unfortunately could not help his team secure a victory. Despite putting in effort, Febres' performance fell short during the game, only scoring 3 points in 14 minutes of play as his team suffered a 98-86 defeat. In a separate game against Guaynabo, Febres showcased a commendable performance, contributing 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Despite his noteworthy efforts, his team still fell short and lost the game. Throughout the season, Febres has maintained an average of 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. It is interesting to note that Febres holds both American and Puerto Rican citizenship, allowing him to play in Puerto Rico as a domestic player, showcasing his versatility and adaptability as a player.
