Every week we bring you a list of the top former Huskies players who continue their career in pro basketball.
Especially interesting is good performance of Moses Wood (10 points), Jaylen Nowell (18 points), and Nahziah Carter (26 points).

#1. In the recent game, Moses Wood, a 6'8'' forward aged 27 who graduated from Washington in 2024 and currently plays professionally in Germany, unfortunately could not contribute enough to help ALBA Berlin (24-10) secure a win. Despite his commendable performance, ALBA Berlin ended up losing 82-91 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#10) Rasta Vechta. Wood managed to score 10 points and grab 1 rebound in the game, displaying his skills on the court. Nonetheless, his individual efforts were not enough to lead his team to victory on this occasion. Throughout the current season, Wood has been averaging 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in the 38 games he has participated in so far. His consistent contributions on the court have been noteworthy, reflecting his capabilities as a seasoned player.

#2. Jaylen Nowell, a 6'4'' guard who is 26 years old and an alumnus of the Huskies from 2019, has been making waves in the basketball scene. He currently plays professionally in Puerto Rico and recently led Gigantes de Carolina to a crucial victory against the fifth-ranked Leones with a score of 85-80 in a game of the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. In this game, Nowell showcased his exceptional skills by scoring 18 points and providing 7 assists in just 32 minutes of play. Gigantes de Carolina, currently holding the third position in Group B with a record of 12-9, has been benefiting greatly from Nowell's outstanding performances. His recent game against Ponce further demonstrated his prowess on the court, as he scored 18 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists, ultimately contributing significantly to the team's victory and cementing his status as a finalist. Throughout the season, Nowell has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 22.9 points per game, making him the league's leading scorer, along with 2.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in the 21 games he has played so far. His consistent high-level performance has undoubtedly played a key role in his team's success, positioning him as a standout champion in the league.

#3. Nahziah Carter, a 6'6'' guard who graduated from Washington in 2020 and now plays professionally in Venezuela, showcased his skills as a champion in a recent game. He led Gaiteros to a resounding 100-76 victory over the eighth-ranked Brillantes in the Venezuelan Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto. Carter's outstanding performance earned him the title of MVP of the game, scoring an impressive 26 points, securing 7 rebounds, and distributing 4 assists in just 33 minutes of play. Notably, he made all six of his free throws, demonstrating his prowess on the court. Gaiteros de Zulia currently holds the top spot in the league, with a record of 20-3, thanks in part to Carter's contributions in his first season with the team. His remarkable statistics throughout the season, averaging 18.6 points per game (ranking third in the league), along with 3.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game (ranking fourth in the league) over 29 games, further solidify his status as a true champion and finalist.

#4. In a thrilling matchup in the New Zealand National Basketball League, the 29-year-old champion, Samuel Timmins, a former Huskies alumni from 2020, showcased his skills as a 6'11'' forward/center playing professionally in New Zealand. Timmins' exceptional year continues, as he maintains impressive averages of 20.2 points per game, 11.0 rebounds per game (leading the league), 4.4 assists per game, and 2.0 blocks per game (also leading the league) over the course of 10 games. His consistent contributions on both ends of the court have solidified his position as a standout finalist in the league, with his latest performance further cementing his status as the ultimate champion of the game.

Despite his commendable performance, contributing 11 points and 5 rebounds in 29 minutes, Naestved couldn't secure a victory and ultimately fell short to the Bakken Bears with a score of 86-98 in Aarhus. Throughout the season, Bajema has been a key player for Naestved, maintaining solid statistics with an average of 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in the 23 games played so far.    #9. Senegalese basketball player Malik Dime, a 6'9'' center who is 33 years old and graduated from Washington in 2017, showcased his talent as a professional player in Venezuela by leading his team Marinos to a narrow 86-84 victory over the closely-ranked Spartans in a thrilling derby game in the Venezuelan Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto on Thursday night.
