Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ragin' Cajuns alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Notice impressive performance of Frank Bartley IV (16 points), Johnathan Stove (13 points), and Tyren Johnson (13 points).



   #1. Frank Bartley IV, a 6'3'' guard who graduated from Louisiana in 2018 and was instrumental in helping them win the Sun Belt Regular Season Champion title that year, currently plays professionally in Greece. Recently, he led AEK to a thrilling 102-99 victory over Aris in the Greek Stoiximan Basketball League, with Bartley IV being named the MVP of the game for his outstanding performance. In just 26 minutes of play, he contributed significantly with 16 points and 3 assists. AEK BC Athens, where Bartley IV plays, holds the fourth spot in the league standings with a record of 16-8. Bartley IV's impressive showing against Aris showcased his skills as he not only scored 16 points but also secured 2 rebounds and provided 3 assists, proving to be a key player in securing the win for his team and ultimately leading them to be crowned the champion. Throughout the season, Bartley IV has maintained high statistics, averaging 15.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in the 28 games he has played so far. His consistent performance highlights his value to the team and his prowess on the court. Additionally, Bartley IV's basketball journey includes participating in the prestigious Eurobasket Summer League, known as one of the top international summer leagues in the market, further solidifying his skills and experience in the game.

   #2. Johnathan Stove, a 6'4'' guard and 30-year-old Ragin' Cajuns alumni from 2018, is currently playing professionally in Germany. In a recent game, he led FIT/One Wuerzburg Baskets to a convincing 82-70 victory over the closely-ranked Telekom Baskets with his stellar performance. Stove contributed significantly to the win, recording 13 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in just 22 minutes of play. FIT/One Wuerzburg Baskets, with a record of 20-14, currently holds the fifth position in the league standings. Stove's exceptional efforts on the court have been instrumental in his team's recent success, as they secured their third consecutive victory. This season marks Stove's first with the team, and he has been making a noticeable impact with an average of 7.5 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game across 39 games. Notably, Stove's basketball journey includes participating in the prestigious Eurobasket Summer League, known as a top platform for players aspiring to compete in overseas leagues. In a recent standout performance against Bonn, Stove showcased his skills by contributing 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists, ultimately guiding his team to victory and earning him the title of champion of the game.

   #3. Experienced champion Tyren Johnson, a 6'8'' power forward at 37 years old, graduated from Louisiana in 2010 and received the All-Sun Belt Player of the Year award that year. He currently plays professionally in Argentina and recently led Quimsa to a victory against the eighth-ranked Boca Juniors with a score of 91-78 in the Argentinian La Liga last Monday. Johnson showcased his skill by scoring 13 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in just 25 minutes of play. Quimsa Santiago del Estero, with a record of 24-12, holds the top spot in the league standings, thanks in part to Johnson's stellar performance. This win marked his team's fourth consecutive victory, highlighting their current winning streak. Notably, this is Johnson's first season with the team, and his impact has been significant. With an impressive season average of 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in 30 appearances, Johnson has proven to be a valuable asset for Quimsa. His remarkable contributions on the court were instrumental in securing the victory against Boca Juniors and solidifying his position as a key player for the team as they aim to become the champion.

   #4. Kasey Shepherd, a 6'3'' point guard and 31-year-old Ragin' Cajuns alumnus from 2016, showcased his basketball prowess in a recent game where his team, KK Bosna Meridianbet Sarajevo, secured an emphatic victory over the third-ranked OKK Sloboda Tuzla. The final score of 88-45 highlighted Shepherd's impact as he contributed 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist in just 14 minutes of play. This marked his debut game for the season with the team, and his performance was instrumental in securing the win. The game, a highly anticipated match-up between two top 3 ranked teams in their group, saw Shepherd's team emerge victorious, maintaining their first-place position. Shepherd's remarkable display on the court emphasized his skills and potential as a champion in the making.

   #5. Greg Williams Jr., a 6'3'' guard who graduated from Louisiana in 2023, has been making a name for himself playing professionally in Israel. Recently, he played a crucial role in Maccabi Ma'ale Adumim's 82-79 victory over the second-ranked M. Petah Tikva in the Israeli National League. In this game, Williams Jr. showcased his skills by recording a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, along with 3 assists, during his 34 minutes on the court. Despite Maccabi Ma'ale Adumim being placed sixth in the Play-Out group, Williams Jr.'s exceptional performance helped secure the important win. His impressive all-around contribution earned him recognition and the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, highlighting his prowess as a champion player. Throughout the season, Williams Jr. has maintained solid statistics, averaging 11.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in 15 appearances. His consistent performance and impact on the court demonstrate his potential as a standout finalist in the league.
