Look at great performance of Jordan Loyd (15 points), Kendrick Tchoua (25 points), and Lucas Barker (24 points).
#1. Experienced champion Jordan Loyd, a 6'4'' shooting guard who is 32 years old and graduated from Indianapolis in 2016, currently plays professionally in Turkey. In a recent game, Loyd's team, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, suffered a heavy defeat on the road against the higher-ranked Panathinaikos with a score of 97-62. Despite the loss, Loyd stood out as the top scorer for his team, contributing 15 points along with 3 assists in 25 minutes of play. This season marks Loyd's first with Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where he has showcased his skills with an average of 11.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game over the 34 games he has played so far. Known for his impressive performance on the court, Loyd's talent and experience have been valuable assets to the team, even though they were unable to secure a win in the final game of the Euroleague Regular Season. It is worth noting that Loyd, a naturalized Polish player, received the All-GLVC First Team award during his time at Indianapolis, highlighting his excellence in the sport. Despite the challenging game against Panathinaikos, Loyd's dedication and skill as a champion player have not gone unnoticed.
#2. Kendrick Tchoua, a 6'7'' center and Greyhounds alum from 2024, who helped his team win the GLVC Regular Season Champion title that year, is currently playing professionally in Switzerland. In a recent game, Tchoua, despite putting up an impressive performance, could not prevent his team, Monthey-Chablais (5-19), from suffering a crushing defeat of 121-58 against the top-ranked Fribourg on their home court. Even though Tchoua was the standout player of the game with 25 points and 9 rebounds in 35 minutes of play, Monthey-Chablais faced their third consecutive loss. This remarkable performance highlights Tchoua's talent and potential, especially considering that he is only in his second season in professional basketball. Throughout the season, Tchoua has been consistently excelling, averaging 20.2 points, 10.4 rebounds (the second-best in the league), and 2.0 assists per game across 25 games. Despite his individual success, Tchoua's team has faced challenges, including the recent loss to Fribourg. Tchoua's dedication and skills are evident in his stellar statistics, positioning him as a standout player in the league.
#3. Australian Lucas Barker, a 6'0'' point guard aged 33, who graduated from Indianapolis in 2016 and currently plays professionally in Australia, recently showcased his prowess on the court. Leading the Frankston Blues to a thrilling victory against the ninth-ranked Cobras in the Australian NBL One second division, Barker's stellar performance was instrumental in securing the win. In a closely contested match, Barker contributed significantly by scoring 24 points, grabbing 5 boards, providing 3 assists, and making 3 steals in just 31 minutes of play. Following this impressive display, Barker's leadership and skills were evident once again in a game against Kilsyth C, where he scored 24 points, secured 5 rebounds, and delivered 3 assists, ultimately leading his team to another victory. His consistent performances have been essential in positioning the Frankston Blues as contenders in the South group, currently holding the eighth spot. Despite the early stage of the season, Barker's impact on the court has been undeniable, showcasing his abilities as a champion. Throughout the season, Barker has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.0 steals per game across five matches. With his impressive contributions and leadership skills, Barker continues to demonstrate why he is a valuable asset to his team as they aim for success in the league.
#4. Jesse Bingham II, a towering 6'6'' guard and 25-year-old Greyhounds alumni from 2024, was instrumental in helping his team clinch the GLVC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Portugal, Bingham II recently faced a tough challenge when his team, Braga, with an 8-13 record, took on the formidable FC Porto, boasting a 15-6 record in the Portuguese Liga Betclic Masculina. Despite his best efforts, Bingham II could only muster 4 points and 6 rebounds during his 25 minutes on the court. Unfortunately, Braga fell short to FC Porto, losing 68-82 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) opponent. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, the upcoming match is crucial for Bingham II's team. Even though Bingham II showcased his skills by contributing 4 points and 6 rebounds against FC Porto, his team, Braga, was unable to secure the victory. Throughout this season, Bingham II has maintained an average of 7.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game in 21 appearances.
#5. David Ejah, a 25-year-old forward standing at 6'7" who graduated from Indianapolis in 2024 after helping them secure the GLVC Regular Season Champion title that year, currently plays professionally in Germany. In a recent game, Ejah led his team, PS Karlsruhe Lions, to a thrilling 86-83 victory over the fourth-ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA, the second division league. Ejah's impressive performance included scoring 14 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and making 2 blocks in 38 minutes of play, showcasing his skills despite being in only his second season of professional basketball. The win marked his team's third consecutive victory, with PS Karlsruhe Lions holding the eighth position in the league at 16-16. With just two games remaining in the Regular Season, each game has now become crucial for the team. This season, Ejah has been a standout player with solid statistics, averaging 14.1 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game (ranking fourth in the league), along with 1.6 assists per game and 1.1 steals per game in 31 appearances. Ejah's remarkable performance against Bremerhaven further cements his reputation as a champion on the court, making a significant impact in his first year with the team.
#6. Canadian basketball player Josiah Tynes, standing tall at 6'3'' and a 26-year-old guard, is a Greyhounds alumnus from 2024, where he played a pivotal role in helping them secure the GLVC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently, he is showcasing his skills in the professional arena of the TBL. In a recent game between the Halifax Hoopers and the Tri-City Tide, Tynes was instrumental in his team's success, contributing significantly to their 116-111 victory. During the game, he displayed his prowess by recording 8 points and delivering 3 assists in just 21 minutes of play. Tynes' standout performance included scoring 8 points, securing 1 rebound, and distributing 3 assists against the Tri-City Tide. His notable contributions were crucial in ensuring his team emerged victorious, highlighting his capabilities as a true champion on the court. Throughout the current season, Tynes has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 steals per game across three games. His consistent performance reflects his dedication and skill, further solidifying his position as a standout finalist in the world of basketball.
