Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Seahawks players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Puerto Rican basketball champion Javier Ezquerra, a 6'1'' guard who graduated from Wagner in 2025, played a crucial role in helping his team secure the Puerto Rican League Championship that year. Currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico, Ezquerra faced a tough matchup against the Mets while representing the Vaqueros de Bayamon. Despite his best efforts, including recording 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists in 18 minutes, the Vaqueros de Bayamon were unable to defeat the Mets, falling short with a final score of 80-90 on the road. In another game against Guaynabo, Ezquerra displayed a strong performance by contributing 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. However, despite his individual efforts, his team ultimately suffered a loss. Throughout the season, Ezquerra has maintained an average of 4.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in the 21 games he has played so far.
#2. Ja'Kair Sanchez, a 6'4'' guard and 26-year-old Seahawks alumnus from 2025, currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico, recently faced a tough challenge when his team, the Osos de Manati, went up against the formidable Atleticos in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. Despite his best efforts, Sanchez could not lead his team to victory as they fell short against the Atleticos in a decisive match. In the game, Sanchez managed to contribute 4 points and 1 rebound during his 2-minute appearance on the court. However, the Osos de Manati, ranked fifth in their group with a record of 7-11, suffered a significant defeat of 108-87 at the hands of the league-leading Atleticos. This season marks Sanchez's debut with the team, and although he has shown glimpses of his skills with an average of 1.5 points per game in four appearances, he is still adapting to his new role. Despite scoring impressively and displaying his abilities in the recent game against San German, Sanchez's individual performance was not enough to secure a win for his team. As he continues to acclimate to his new team and the competitive league, Sanchez remains determined to contribute more effectively and help his team improve their standing in the league.
