Shahid Muhammad transfers to UMass

Shahid Muhammad

University of Massachusetts added Pakistani international center Shahid Muhammad (6'11'') to their roster for the new 2024-25 season. He is the second foreign player on the team, with Egyptian Malek Abdelgowad signing earlier. Muhammad transferred from College of Southern Idaho (NJCAA) where he played his freshman year. Last season, he averaged 5.9ppg and 5.6rpg in 30 games. His team finished second in SWAC in 2024 and made it to the NJCAA D1 Region XVIII Finals.
He played at Seton Hall University between 2022-23.
Muhammad spent his prep year at PHHoenix Prep Academy (Phoenix, AZ) between 2021-20, which he joined from Academy of the New Church. He has been regularly called to the Pakistani Senior National Team since 2023.
