Here is the weekly review of the top performing Golden Flashes alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Miryne Thomas, a 6'8'' forward who graduated from Kent St. in 2023, has been making waves in the professional basketball scene in Georgia. Recently, he led his team, Basketball Club Batumi, to a crucial victory over TSU in the Georgian Superleague. In this thrilling match, Thomas showcased his skills by scoring 28 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and providing 5 assists, earning him the MVP title. Despite being only in his third season of professional basketball, Thomas has been consistently delivering exceptional performances. This standout game against TSU highlighted his talent and versatility on the court. Notably, he received the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com for his remarkable display, further solidifying his reputation as a champion player. Thomas' stellar season statistics reflect his impactful contributions to Basketball Club Batumi. Averaging 21.5 points per game, he ranks as the second-best scorer in the league. Additionally, his impressive 11.9 rebounds per game make him the league's leading rebounder. With solid averages of 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game, Thomas has proven himself as a formidable force in the league. As a key player for his team and a rising star in the Georgian Superleague, Miryne Thomas continues to excel on the court, showcasing his skills and determination as he strives to reach greater heights in his basketball career.

#2. Jimmy Hall, a 6'8'' power forward and 32-year-old Golden Flashes alumnus from 2017 who helped them win the MAC Tournament that year, currently plays professionally in Israel. Recently, he played a crucial role in Maccabi Ashdod's triumph over the ninth-ranked Otef Darom with a close score of 82-79 in the Israeli National League, which is the second division, during Wednesday night's game. During the game, Hall showcased his skills by achieving a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Additionally, he demonstrated his defensive prowess by contributing 5 steals in just 31 minutes on the court. Maccabi Ashdod holds the fifth position in the Play-Off group with a record of 20-10, and this marks Hall's first season with the team. In this particular game against Otef Darom, Hall's remarkable performance not only included scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds but also dishing out 2 assists, ultimately leading his team to victory. His exceptional display of talent on the court earned him the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, solidifying his reputation as a true champion. Throughout the season, Hall has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 14.8 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game, 3.2 assists per game, 1.2 blocks per game (ranking fourth in the league), and 1.7 steals per game in the 15 games he has played so far. His consistent performance highlights his significance on the team and reinforces his status as a top-tier player in the league.

#3. Marquis Barnett, a 6'4'' guard who graduated from Kent St. in 2025 and currently plays professionally in Israel, recently showcased his talent for Hapoel Altshuler Shaham Beer Sheva. Despite his remarkable performance, scoring 17 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and making 2 blocks in a 79-83 loss to E. Netanya, a lower-ranked team (#12), Barnett's efforts were not enough to secure a victory for his team. This game marked only his first season in professional basketball, and his contributions on the court have been noteworthy. Barnett has consistently displayed his skills throughout the season, averaging 15.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in nine appearances. His strong individual performance has been a bright spot for his team, even in the face of challenging matchups. As Hapoel Altshuler Shaham Beer Sheva gears up for their final game of the Regular Season, Barnett's presence on the court will undoubtedly be crucial in their quest for success.

#4. Chris Payton, a towering 6'8'' forward and 25-year-old former Golden Flashes standout from the class of 2024, showcased his skills in the professional basketball scene in Australia. Although currently playing for the Kilsyth Cobras, he faced a tough loss in their recent game against the formidable Raiders. Despite his valiant efforts, the ninth-placed Kilsyth Cobras were narrowly defeated 96-93 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Raiders in the South group. During the game, Payton delivered an outstanding performance, recording a double-double with 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 assists in 41 minutes of play. This impressive display highlighted his versatility and impact on the court. Despite his exceptional stats, including an average of 14.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in 13 appearances this season, Payton's team faced their third consecutive loss. Acknowledging his remarkable contributions, Payton was awarded the Triple-Double Badge by eurobasket.com, further solidifying his reputation as a true champion in the world of basketball.
