#1. Ezichi Kalu (6'11''-C-2000, played in 2022-24, plays pro in Spain) contributed to a Mataro UE's surprising victory against the leader Gandia (5-1) 79-75 in the Spanish Segunda FEB (third division) last Saturday. He scored 9 points in 25 minutes. Homs Rentals UE Mataro (2-4) is placed tenth in East group. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Kalu's first year with the team. This season Kalu averages 6.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.8bpg in six games he played so far.
#2. Gerad Davis (6'4''-G-1996, played in 2018-19, plays in Albania) could not help one of league's weakest teams Partizani (3-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Partizani was crushed99-71 at home by the leading Apolonia. Davis was the top scorer with 32 points. He also added made 6 passes and 4 steals. Davis' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Davis' first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Davis averages 30.5ppg, 8.2rpg, 3.5apg and 3.7spg.
#3. Kenard Richardson (6'4''-G, played in 2023-25, currently in Azerbaijan), who plays in the Azerbaijani ABL was not able to help Sheki (2-4) in their last game. Despite Richardson's very good performance the fifth-placed Sheki (2-4) was crushed104-79 on their home court in Sheki by the second-ranked Absheron in the Grupa A group. He was the second best scorer with 19 points. Richardson also added 6 rebounds in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Richardson's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Richardson's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg in six games.
#4. Marlon Johnson (6'10''-C-1994, played in 2014-17, plays pro in Mongolia) was the major contributor in a Darkhan United's victory against the league outsider Mongolians (1-6) 92-87 in the Mongolian MBL last Tuesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds. Johnson also added 2 blocks and 3 steals. Darkhan United (4-3) is placed third in the MBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This season Johnson has very high stats. He averages 18.9ppg, 8.4rpg, 2.4apg, 1.6bpg and 2.4spg.
#5. Javier Menendez (6'7''-PF-1997, played in 2016-18, plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Gijon Circulo (1-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance the 11th-placed Gijon Circulo (1-5) lost 74-88 on their home court in Gijon to the second-ranked Valladolid in the West group. Menendez had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds in 30 minutes. It was Gijon Circulo's fourth consecutive loss in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Menendez's first year with the team. This season he averages 9.7ppg, 11.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg in six games.
#6. Michael Nwabuzor (6'2''-G-1996, played in 2017-18, currently in France) couldn't help Lyon in their game against SO Maritime Boulogne in the French NM1 (third division). Despite his good performance in Friday night's game He was the top scorer with 10 points. Nwabuzor also added 3 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 14.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.8apg and 1.4spg. Nwabuzor is a naturalized Nigerian. Nwabuzor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
