#1. Amir Spears, a 6'3'' point guard aged 25 who graduated from UTSA in 2025 and received the All-AAC Second Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Mexico. In a recent game, he led Ostioneros de Guaymas to a notable 106-96 victory over the closely-ranked Caballeros de Culiacan. This win in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico showcased Spears' exceptional talent as he scored an impressive 35 points and contributed 3 assists in just 36 minutes of play, earning him the MVP title for the game. Despite Ostioneros de Guaymas being ranked second from the bottom in the league, Spears' outstanding performance against Culiacan highlighted his capabilities as a champion. #2. Deon Lyle, a 29-year-old shooting guard standing at 6'6'' and an alumnus of the Roadrunners from 2018, currently competes professionally in the TBL. Recently, he showcased his exceptional talent by leading the Great Falls Electric to a resounding victory over the Willamette Valley Jaguars (2-13) with a dominating score of 142-83 in The Basketball League on Saturday night. Lyle's performance was nothing short of extraordinary as he achieved a rare triple-double, scoring 20 points, pulling down 11 rebounds, and distributing 10 assists in just 27 minutes of gameplay. This outstanding feat not only secured a win for his team but also highlighted his versatility and skill on the court. Despite the Great Falls Electric holding a somewhat modest 12-6 record this season, Lyle's leadership has been instrumental in propelling the team to a remarkable seven consecutive victories. As the regular season draws to a close with only two games remaining, each match becomes increasingly crucial in determining the team's standing.
