Indonesia Warriors celebrated the ASEAN League title. They overcame Petron Blaze in the decisive third game of the title series to clinch the crown. Stanley Pringle (184-PG-87, college: Penn St.) came up with pivotal performance scoring 28 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and making 2 steals for the Warriors.
The visitors jumped in front early in the game. They posted a 19:13 advantage at the first break. Stanley Pringle made it a 10-point game midway through the second quarter 31:21. But the Blaze managed to cut the deficit to 5 points at halftime 33:38. The hosts denied the deficit early in the third quarter. Duke Crews (203-F-88, college: Bowie St.) put the Blaze in front 40:38. But the visitors quickly regained the lead and cleared off to a 64:53 distance at the final intermission. The Warriors enjoyed a 10-point buffer with under four minutes remaining. But Petron Blaze went on an 8:0 run to narrow the gap at just two points with just over two minutes to go. Stanley Pringle and Evan Brock (204-F-84, college: Alabama) stretched the margin back to 6 points however Duke Crews kept Petron Blaze in the game narrowing the gap at 2-point mark 76:78. Evan Brock missed two free throws in the dying seconds and Fazekas had a chance to win it for the hosts. But his three-pointer rimmed out and the Warriors triumphed in the game and the season. Evan Brock accounted for 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Steve Thomas (204-C/F-81, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 10 points for the winners. Duke Crews answered with 29 points and 9 rebounds for Petron Blaze. Chris Banchero (185-G, college: Seattle Pacific) had 16 points in the loss.
