    Alab Pilipinas celebrated ABL title. They rallied past Mono Vampire in the decisive fifth game of the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by Alab Pilipinas. Mono Vampire managed to win second period 31-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alab Pilipinas made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Mono Vampire turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Mono Vampire's players. American-Puerto Rican forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) stepped up and scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Justin Brownlee (197-88, college: St.John's) chipped in 24 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Alab Pilipinas' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) responded with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Maltese center Samuel Deguara (223-91) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds.
